In October 2018, It was announced by James DeMonaco which is the creator of the Purge Franchise that they are working on The Forever Purge film, which may conclude the series on a high note. In May 2019, Universal Pictures announced that they are developing a film, DeMonaco is writing the screenplay and the film will be produced by Sebastian Lemercier via Man In A Tree Productions.
It was revealed that this film is the fifth and final of the Purge Franchise, it is the sequel of The Purge: Election Year. In August 2019, it was announced that the final instalment will be directed by Everardo Gout, who directed the 2016 Mars of National Geographic.

The Universal Pictures YouTube Channel released the trailer of The Forever Purge which turned out to be the fifth and final instalment of the horror franchise “Purge”. The Horror Franchise’s first movies was released in 2013. The final instalment stars Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey who belongs to a wealthy family and they found themselves surrounded by the annual Purge. All the things are happened in a night, all the crimes including some murders which is almost legal in all Purge Movies.
The Purge Franchise was created by James DeMonaco, who also wrote the screenplay of all films and also directed the first three movies of the franchise. The Forever Purge will be the direct sequel to 2016 The Purge Election Year which goes with the story of a Mexican Couple running from drug dealers and stranded in Texas.
The elections eliminates the Purge but the couple is hunted by some outsiders who are planning to continue the Purge tradition despite most of them are killed. The story shifts from usual urban stories but still they are going with the typical issues of class and race like the last movies.
